The Automation Systems Department has received support from Schneider Electric (Thailand) Co., Ltd. under an academic cooperation program (MOU). They provided support in establishing a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) laboratory by supplying tools and equipment used in the automation production industry, energy management, as well as software for controlling devices and managing energy. Schneider Electric has also sent personnel to exchange knowledge and transfer various technologies to the department staff, enabling them to pass on these technologies to students, faculty, and industry professionals. This is carried out through training services, educational support, consulting, problem-solving services, and research activities, both in the public and private sectors. Additionally, academic collaboration networks have been developed with various public and private organizations, including the Skill Development Institute, the Provincial Waterworks Authority, and many others. In terms of collaboration with universities in France, the department has worked with the Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INP Grenoble) to develop research on tools and machinery used in industries, as well as facilitating the exchange of researchers between Thailand and France.
